Public transportation
Disabled people with a valid token in their disabled people pass can use all services of the MVV (U-Bahn (subway) and S-Bahn (suburban train), tram (streetcar) and bus) for free.
Here is an overview of the suburban trains, metro and regional trains in the city and around with indications on the barrier free accessibility, which can be found in the MVV-leaflet „Barrierefreier Zugang“. Please watch the height indications, which can vary between the transportation device and the platform: for example at Harthof (2-7 cm), Scheidplatz (8-13 cm) or Riem (24-30 cm). Assistance with boarding or disembarking is provided by the train driver if necessary, so use the first door behind the driver.
